EdTech Summit Hungary 2026 – The Future of Education at Obuda University
On March 28, 2026, the attention of those interested in educational technology and modern pedagogical methodologies turned to the EdTech Summit Hungary 2026 event. This day held special significance for Obuda University, as the institution’s STEAM Office and the Hungarian STEAM Platform participated in the event with a comprehensive professional presentation and workshop. The goal was not merely to showcase specific developments, but to strategically highlight the complex EdTech ecosystem taking shape at the university.
Strategic cooperation for an innovative ecosystem
During the workshop, university representatives presented their results in a professional environment where education policy decision-makers, renowned educational researchers, practicing teachers, and key players from the industry and EdTech sectors met. Special attention was given to the STEAMCRAFT and EdTech Talents projects, which well represented the university’s research and development potential. While STEAMCRAFT focused on experience-based, Minecraft-driven, and sustainability-oriented gamified learning, EdTech Talents provided a framework for innovations, research prototypes, and international knowledge transfer.
Internal synergies and future focal points
The preparation process, coordinated by the STEAM Office, proved to be a milestone in the life of the university in itself. The appearance of colleagues from different faculties as a unified EdTech team strengthened horizontal collaborations within the institution. The internal evaluation following the event made it clear that future professional work must focus on human-centered assessment and competence development in the AI era. This approach is directly linked to projects such as the development of AI-based educational assistants, the involvement of Generation Z, or the support of responsible engineering decision-making. The experiences of the EdTech Summit confirmed that Obuda University possesses a strong professional base, which must be further strengthened in the future with regular internal workshops and targeted partner connections in order to organize educational technology developments into a strategic framework.
