The Obuda University STEAM Office has once again enriched the lives of high school students with an exciting event. On September 12, 2024, a 50-member delegation from the Székesfehérvár SZC Vajda János Technical School arrived at the Autumn STEM Show to explore the world of higher education and STEM.
During the engaging morning program, the students were welcomed by Vice-Dean Dr. Gábor Kertész, followed by Zoltán Márton, Head of the STEAM Office, who introduced the guests to the exciting opportunities within the STEM world. After Sándor Kirchhof’s presentation on Minecraft and LEGO camps, the students took control of the technology themselves. Using LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robots, they gained hands-on experience with sensor operations and the fundamentals of robotics.
During the visit to the BARK – Antal Bejczy Center for Intelligent Robotics, they gained insight into the most advanced technologies with Panna Zsoldos. We hope that the demonstrations of the Da Vinci surgical robot, the sample-sorting robot, and the robot dog provided an unforgettable experience for the young participants.
The Obuda University STEAM Office is committed to long-term engagement in sparking young people’s interest in STEM. Through events like this, they aim to show students that engineering is not only exciting but also the key to the future.
