The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács, Rector of Obuda University, and Police Brigadier General Zoltán Lauda, Police Chief of Pest County.
Within the framework of this cooperation, university students and police experts will jointly mobilize their theoretical and practical knowledge. The parties will launch joint research programs and actively collaborate on developing innovative solutions to support the fight against cybercrime.
The agreement also places significant emphasis on crime prevention goals. To this end, the parties will organize joint communication campaigns, as well as professional and educational events specifically targeting the groups most vulnerable to certain types of crime. The cooperation also extends to joint participation in national and international grant applications.
A key element of the partnership is the implementation of practice-oriented training sessions related to Obuda University’s Cyber Academy and its cyberrange infrastructure, serving to strengthen the digital preparedness and professional competencies of the police personnel.
Both parties consider the nurturing of young talent and the development of digital awareness among primary and secondary school students to be a shared interest and responsibility.
The agreement contributes to raising the standards of research and development in Hungary, strengthening public safety, and ensuring that science and law enforcement provide modern and timely joint responses to the challenges posed by technological advancement.
